Huntington Gardens with my parents. Bickering since 1976. The local pastor sent 6 women to my dad's workplace which was a chicken restaurant in Busan, South Korea. He says he picked the prettiest one and says it's the worst decision he ever made.

Went to The Broad with my parents. They were impressed by Robert Therrien's "Under the Table" and Jeff Koons but didn't think Ellsworth Kelly deserved to be there. When we stepped out, they looked next door at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and said "now, that's an amazing structure." I said "UGH. Franky Gehry is the worst." (I also wish they would've picked the green folding chairs and table for The Broad. It would've looked so much better in that space.)

Blood Orange Olive Oil Cake. CAKE 3 eggs 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup milk 1 tbsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups flour 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 tbsp maple syrup 1 tbsp grand marnier GLAZE 1 tbsp blood orange juice 1 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar 2 tbsp butter 1/2 powdered sugar 1/2 cup toasted sliced almonds Bake 350 degrees for 37 minutes. Enjoy!

The Annual United Nations Commission on the Status of Women meet in March every year to address the widespread inequalities, violence and discrimination women continue to face all around the world. These are the 100+ strong labour delegation of union women from around the world Over the next two weeks, governments will negotiate an agreement on how to tackle women's poverty. Unions are demanding that the agreement recognize fundamental labour rights, the importance of investment in public care services, and the crucial role publicly provided social programs play in preventing women's poverty. Our message is clear: ending women’s poverty starts with strong unions and quality public services!
